| Summer Happenings
Well, summer will be here before you know it. This is the busiest time of year with all of the major shows, summer camps, lessons, clinics, and everything in between! If we are not at the barn, we are at a show, and if we are not at a show. . . . we are at the barn. This is a great time to spend lots of hours with the horses and really get your hands dirty. We love having helpers during the week as long as you bring plenty of water and sunscreen. Great time to lease or buy a horse as well. Since we are out and about so much . . . we come across many suitable horses and would be happy to keep interested parties informed. Purebred Country Pleasure Gelding $7500 1/2 Arabian Western Pleasure Gelding $10,000 Purebred Hunter Pleasure Gelding (chestnut, 4 white socks, national quality) $12,500 There is a lot going on with all the shows, camps, lessons, and seminars this summer! Please ask Jeanne or Odessa for a current lesson schedule. Summer Lesson Program Feel free to bring a friend to the barn to see the horses and watch you ride. You will get a discount for every friend you sign up! Plus, on Saturday’s you can come out from 9 – 12 to hang out and do odd jobs for us. Please check to make sure we are there before dropping any child at the barn AND pick-up needs to be no later than 1:00. Summer Camps: we are preparing for the summer now! This is the time to think about our two summer camps: June 19-30 and July 3-14 on Monday, Wednesday, & Friday from 9am to 12 pm. All of our camps are at Valley View Equestrian Center in Converse. We only take 12 students, so sign up before it is too late! Shows: There are many shows during the summer and fall for those who want to get more involved. There are small open shows and larger Class “A” shows available for whichever you prefer. Remember . . . we have lessons horses that can go to the small shows, but you must own or lease a horse to go to the Class A shows. Lessons could be canceled because of weather (too hot, too cold, too windy) or if we are at a competition. We will call by 2:00 during the week and 8:00 on Saturday. Please do the same. New News NEW HORSES: CF Khomanche is the new guy on the block. He is a 7 yr. old purebred Arabian gelding. His new owner is Sherry Carroll and he will be shown in Western Pleasure and Trail. SCS Faith is new to the barn. Faith is a NSH mare that is here for evaluation and possible lease/purchase. This is going to be Leslie Sartori’s new form of exercise! Faith is an English and Costume horse. ML Huckaberry is settling in nicely from Pennsylvania. He is a purebred, Arabian, HBB gelding that is Mary Cogdell’s new horse. Hucky is her new walk/trot country/equitation and showmanship horse. Young Guns is being ˝ leased by Shelly Pascale. Shelly and Guns are a great duo and having loads of fun.
