| ESSO was created by Jeanne in 1998 after coaching the British Team at the 1998 World Cup Saddleseat Equitation competition in South Africa. Saddleseat is growing rapidly worldwide and Europe needed an outlet to gather and compete. England and Sweden currently have teams and we are preparing to chose the 5 top riders from the two teams and take the European Team to South Africa to compete in an invitational championship in 2003. |
| Saddleseat is an English style of riding developed for very up-headed, high trotting, excitingly forward moving horses. More specifically . . . the American Saddlebred, Morgan, Arabian, and National Show Horse. Jeanne has personally worked with all of these breeds and gives each breed their due respect. The Arabian and National Show horse are the breed Jeanne has used the most with her students in Texas. While living in Europe however, the Morgan and Saddlebred were the primary focus when teaching and showing saddleseat. Which ever breed is being used . . . saddleseat riding is an exciting seat for riders of all ages. We have champions from the ages of 7 to 70 and all leave the ring with a smile on their face.
